Invitation to the Final Lang Craigs Community Tree Planting day on Saturday 17th May from the Woodland Trust and Forestry Commission Scotland.
Come along and join us at our free final tree planting day in West Dunbartonshire. We would love you to join us to help finish planting our new native woodland at Lang Craigs and enjoy the breath-taking landscape of the Kilpatrick Hills.
Final Community Tree Planting Day, Lang Craigs Wood on Saturday 17th May 2014, 11am – 3pm.
Meet at West Dunbartonshire Council Office car Park, Garshake Road G82 3LG. A minibus will transport you to the planting site.
There will be free child friendly activities and refreshments for all volunteers.
Meet Lee Craigie, Commonwealth Games mountain biker.
Please wear warm clothes and sturdy footwear. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs are welcome on leads.

Southern Upland Way walk on Sunday 25th May
Bus booking is now open for the Southern Upland Way: Glenruther Lodge to B Glenhead (east of Loch Trool)
A scenic section in Glentrool forest and along the loch. Paths and tracks. Minibus to Glenruther Lodge (NX 322725) west of Bargrennan. Pickup at Bruce’s Stone, back in Milngavie at approx. 20:00h. Return fare is £19.00. To reserve a place, send a booking form with the remittance to Helen Donnachie. (address is in the current programme).
Bus trip to Cowal on Saturday 7th June
The bus bookings are now open for the big bus trip to the Cowal peninsula with two separate walks.
The bus leaves the MSCP at 08:30h and arrives back at approx. 19:00h. Bus fare is £11 p.p. Booking opens on 25th April, the form with a remittance is to be sent to Moira Allan, (address in the current programme).
Walk 1 Bhein Mhor, Cowal.
Details: Relatively unfrequented Corbett, approached from Glen Massan (subject to recce), but one of the best hill-walks in the area. Return expected in time for coffee at Ben More Gardens. Starting point: Stonefield in Glen Massan, NS 119866.
Walk 2 Dunoon to Inellan.
Details: From the Dunoon West Bay car park a road up to Bishop’s Glen (steep section). Then a forest track to Inellan for the bus pick up. Morning coffee at Ben More Gardens, refreshments at Inellan. Starting point: Dunoon West Bay.
